How to read this list
Ours comes first, because it is the one we built to do all of this at once — and it is ours, so we say so. The rest follow in order of how long they have been around, each with the case it still fits. Their prices and tier limits are deliberately not quoted: they change every few months, and a stale number is worse than no number, so check the App Store listing. Ours is quoted, because it is the one we can keep current.
Our Baby Day — best overall
Our Baby Day is a joyful baby companion for iOS 26: you track every feed, nap, and diaper — pumping, solids, tummy time, growth and health too — and it connects the dots, in plain language, from your own baby's history rather than from averages.
- Sleep, Feed and Diaper as one-tap buttons on the Home Screen, the Lock Screen, in Control Center and through Siri, with the timer running in the Dynamic Island.
- A six-character code puts a partner, a nanny or a grandparent on the same timeline, with each entry initialled and one subscription covering the family.
- A nap forecast computed on your phone from her own last fourteen days, which the app will show you the working for.
- No ads and optional analytics, no account required to log, and exports that re-import cleanly.
- A subscription rather than a free tier: $89.99 a year ($7.50 a month) with 7 days free for eligible new subscribers, or $14.99 a month. Nothing inside is held back (Ask has a fair-use ceiling of 300 questions a month), and a family whose subscription ends keeps its history and its export.
It is built for the current iPhone, so it needs iOS 26 — that is what lets the widgets, Live Activities and Control Center buttons be the system's own. It is on the App Store.
Huckleberry — best if you want to pay for a human sleep consultant
Huckleberry is a sleep-first tracker built around a nap-window prediction, with paid sleep-consultant services sold alongside the app.
- Paid one-to-one sessions with human sleep consultants
- Sleep plans and articles from its own team
Pick it if you want to pay a sleep consultant to read your logs and write you a plan. That is a paid service, not an app feature, and we do not sell one. People who go looking for something else are usually after one of these: wanting the prediction to show its working, not just its answer; wanting the everyday logging — feeds, diapers, pumping — to be as quick as the sleep side; wanting to know what the subscription actually buys before paying for it — which is what our Huckleberry alternative page is about.
Baby Tracker (Nighty Night) — best if a plain list of entries is all you want
Baby Tracker (Nighty Night) is a long-running, deliberately plain iPhone tracker built around a list of entries.
- A log that has worked the same way for years
- Much of the basic tracking is free
Pick it if all you want is a plain list of entries, nobody else needs to see it, and you never want anything read back out of it. People who go looking for something else are usually after one of these: wanting the log to reach a partner's phone without exporting anything; wanting the numbers to turn into something — a pattern, a verdict on last night; wanting Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets that log, not just display — which is what our Baby Tracker (Nighty Night) alternative page is about.
Baby Connect — best if your daycare already uses it
Baby Connect is one of the oldest trackers, built around daycare and nanny handoffs, with a web view and printable reports.
- A web dashboard, for a carer who logs from a computer
- Daycare centers that already have accounts on it
Pick it if your daycare already runs on it and will not type into anything else. People who go looking for something else are usually after one of these: wanting an interface that does not feel a decade old on a modern iPhone; wanting the phone to do the summarizing instead of reading a report; wanting to stop paying per person to see the same baby — which is what our Baby Connect alternative page is about.
Nara Baby — best if you only want the free basics
Nara Baby is a free-tier tracker (formerly Baby Tracker by Nara) with a premium upgrade on top.
- A free tier for basic day-to-day logging
Pick it if you only want the free basics, and have no use for a forecast, a scored night or answers from her own history. People who go looking for something else are usually after one of these: wanting the history and the charts to stay reachable rather than sitting behind an upgrade; wanting an answer about their own baby, not an average one; wanting the widgets and the Lock Screen to carry the load — which is what our Nara Baby alternative page is about.
Glow Baby — best if you want a community feed in your tracker
Glow Baby is the baby tracker in the Glow family of apps, where the logging shares the screen with articles and a community feed.
- A community feed and an article library alongside the tracking
- Continuity if you already used Glow or Eve through pregnancy
Pick it if the community feed is the reason you open it. Ours opens on your baby's day, not a feed, and that is on purpose. People who go looking for something else are usually after one of these: wanting a tracker that is only a tracker, without a feed to scroll; wanting their data to stay theirs rather than fund something else; wanting fewer notifications competing for attention at 3am — which is what our Glow Baby alternative page is about.
Switching without losing what you have logged
Export before you leave, and check the new app can read the file. Our Baby Day reads the exports of all five apps above, and an import arrives as a batch you can remove in one tap — the walkthrough is in switching trackers without losing your history.
How this page is kept honest
Each app's description is checked against its own store listing and re-dated when it changes; the dates are on the individual comparison pages. Nothing here is affiliate-linked — there is nothing to earn from any of these apps. If we have got something wrong about yours, write to hello@ourbabyday.com and it gets fixed.
